TIFFIN — Mohawk snapped its losing streak and ended Wynford’s Northern 10 Athletic Conference winning streak with a 215-219 girls golf victory Tuesday at Seneca Hills Golf Club.

DOLA — Hardin Northern narrowly avoided a fifth set, beating Riverdale 25-13, 15-25, 25-20, 25-23 in a nonconference volleyball match Tuesday at Hardin Northern.

NEW WASHINGTON — Lexi Evak smashed 14 kills as Buckeye Central swept Carey 25-9, 25-22, 25-16 in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night at Buckeye Central. McKenzie Row led the Blue Devils (3-7, 2-4 N10) with six kills and 10 digs, while Alaina Tiell had five kills. Bailey Tanner tallied five kills and 12 digs.

ATTICA — Seneca East picked up a big Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball victory by knocking off Mohawk 22-25, 25-21, 27-25, 25-20 on Tuesday night at Seneca East. Mohawk (7-3, 5-2 N10) took a back-and-forth first set but Seneca East (8-3, 6-1 N10) responded by evening the match in the second set and then taking the lead in a third set that extended beyond 25 points. The Warriors rallied to tie the fourth set at 15 after trailing 9-2 but came up short.

LUCAS — Only about half of Wynford’s runners took in the Lucas Cub Classic on Tuesday, but that was enough for the Royals girls to win the championship. Wynford scored 39 points, beating out Buckeye Central, which scored 50 points, for first place in the girls competition.

TIFFIN — Mohawk wrapped up Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf dual play with a 185-208 victory against Ridgedale on Tuesday at Seneca Hills Golf Club. Austin Tusing led the way for the Warriors (2-8, 2-6 N10) with a 42. Brodie Detterman shot a 46, Kael Margraf had a 48, and Owen England finished with a 49. Reese Hannam (51) and Brock Brause (54) also were in the varsity lineup.

BUCYRUS — Bucyrus could not handle Sydney Stuckman’s serving — nor her hitting — as she led Upper Sandusky to a dominant 25-10, 25-17, 25-12 victory Tuesday night at Bucyrus. Stuckman aced the Redmen (1-9, 0-6 N10) 11 times and also added eight kills. Emily Hill also was strong on the attack for the Rams (3-8, 2-5 N10) with nine kills and on defense with 15 digs.

BUCYRUS — Ethan Tanner shot a 37 to lead Carey to a 172-182 victory against Bucyrus in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys golf match Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Carter Frederick added a 44, Kole Phillips shot a 45, and Brayden Young carded a 46 for the Blue Devils (16-1, 7-1 N10). Mckain Miller (51) and Brayden Miller (54) also played.

Colonel Crawford strengthened its hold on first place in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls golf standings by completing a 229-234 victory against Upper Sandusky on Tuesday at Lincoln Hills Golf Club. The match began Aug. 20 and was suspended by weather.

BUCYRUS — Brett Montgomery was 3-under-par for the second straight day, shooting a 33 on Tuesday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus to lead Upper Sandusky to a 156-184 victory against Wynford. Montgomery had birdies on Nos. 2, 4 and 6, matching his total of three birdies and six pars in his 3-under-par 32 round Tuesday at Lakeland Golf Club.
