Mohawk’s Margraf, Upper’s Mongomery shoot 76s at Clyde

CLYDE — Mohawk finished three strokes back of first and lost a tiebreaker for second, finishing third Monday in the the Ralph Hohenstein Invitational at Green Hills Golf Course in Clyde. Woodmore was the winner with a 339, while Tiffin Columbian’s fifth player score gave it second place over Mohawk after both teams shot 342.

Reasoner lifts Rockets to win

BUCYRUS — Mitchill Reasoner shot a 1-under par 35 to lead Ridgedale to a season-opening 175-207 victory against Wynford in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference golf match Monday at The Golf Club of Bucyrus. Reasoner birdied hole Nos. 2, 4, 6 and 7 while adding two pars and three bogeys.

Falcons fall to Eagles in opener

GALION — Colonel Crawford picked up its second win of the year by beating Riverdale in its season opener, 215-260, in a boys golf match Monday at Valley View Golf Club. Nick Gremling shot a 46, while Eli Schultz contributed a 47 for the Eagles. Andrew Daubenspeck had a 58, and Marcus Fagan shot a 64 for the Eagles.

Opening day

Upper Sandusky senior athletes celebrate winning the spirit stick after Thursday’s Ram Rumble competitions. The Rams’ fall sports season begins today as the golf team competes in the Clyde Invite.

All-star team

Fifth- and sixth-grade girls from three different Upper Sandusky teams and a Carey team combined to play in an all star game recently against players from Tiffin, Bascom, New Riegel and Fremont.
