Jenkins, Flood lead Warriors past Streaks

FREMONT — Mohawk topped Fremont St. Joseph, 57-42, in a non-league boys basketball game Tuesday. The Warriors (6-14) led 18-11 after one quarter, 26-17 at halftime and 35-27 at the end of the third quarter before scoring 22 points in the final frame to put away the game.

BC pulls away from Wynford

NEW WASHINGTON — Wynford played a strong first quarter in its girls basketball regular season finale at Buckeye Central on Tuesday, but the Royals ultimately fell 59-34. Gretchen Harris led all scorers with 21 points and had four steals.

Hoops tourney scheduled

ATTICA — The third annual Beast of the East basketball tournament will be held March 11-12 at Seneca East Schools. Individual awards will be given for each grade divisions from fourth through eighth.

Upper to play at Monroeville

The Upper Sandusky High School girls basketball team will play the winner of Norwalk and Clear Fork in the sectional final of the girls basketball tournament at 8 p.m. Feb. 25 at Monroeville High School. Ticket prices are $6 for adults and $4 for students.

Rams rout Warriors, clinch N10 title

The Upper Sandusky boys basketball team is champion of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference for the second straight year, and on Saturday night, the Rams looked like the No. 2 team in the state. Mohawk was rattled into 20 first-half turnovers and 29 overall as Upper Sandusky ran away with an 80-44 victory.

Royals roll past Tigers

BUCYRUS — Wynford rode a hot shooting start to a wire-to-wire, 74-44 victory over Seneca East in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball game Saturday. Jack Reed led all scorers with 18 points, and Zach Hoffman hit five 3-pointers and scored 17 points.
