4-run 1st inning lefts Mohawk to 6-2 victory

ATTICA — Mohawk scored four times in the top of the first inning and led the rest of the way in a 6-2 softball victory Monday at Seneca East. Hannah Jordan and Chelsey Trusty each hit singles in the first, and multiple errors after that allowed the Warriors (9-5, 6-3 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) to score four times.

Blue Devils rout Bucks again

CAREY — Jonathon Racheter became Carey’s all-time RBIs leader Monday in an 18-1 rout of Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game. Racheter had three RBIs on three hits, including a double, to bring his career total to 80 RBIs.

Upper Sandusky seniors take 5-0 win over Harding

Upper Sandusky swept Marion Harding, 5-0, in boys tennis Monday. BUCYRUS — Jason Holly struck out 12 and gave up just one unearned run to outduel Gavin Lewis in Upper Sandusky’s 4-1 victory Monday at Bucyrus. Holly (1-1) allowed just five hits and two walks, getting replaced due to pitch-count restrictions with one out remaining in the game.

Rams win 9th straight game

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky softball extended its winning streak to nine games with a 12-1 victory in five innings Monday at Bucyrus. The Rams (12-4, 8-1 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) scored three times in the first inning, five times in the third and four times in the fourth.

Riverdale tops Arlington in dual

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s girls topped Arlington, 87-49, and the Falcons boys were 82-55 winners in a track and field dual meet Monday. Audrey Leopold won the 1600 run in 6:44 and the 3200 run in 14:34, and Libby Burd took first in the 100 hurdles in 18.6 and the 300 hurdles in 1:00.4 to lead Riverdale’s girls.

Upper Sandusky wins Jim Grandy Invitational tournament

BUCYRUS — Both doubles teams earned championships, and Upper Sandusky won the eight-team Jim Grandy Invitational on Saturday at Bucyrus. The Rams’ No. 1 doubles team of Turner Dilley and Noah Frey and the No. 2 doubles team of Chad Mostoller and Alex Brodman were champions, while No. 2 singles player Alex Engle took second and No. 3 singles player Clay Burger finished third.
