SANDUSKY — Mohawk split a pair of matches Friday night in a wrestling dual at Sandusky St. Mary, losing, 39-30, to Walsh Jesuit, and defeating Monroeville, 57-12. The Warriors won every wrestled match against the Eagles, surrendering only a pair of forfeits.

Rams overwhelm Warriors early

By now, teams know exactly what is coming. They just don’t have an answer for it. Upper Sandusky’s defensive pressure and fast-paced offense overwhelmed Mohawk in the first half, and the Rams ran away with an 80-42 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball play Monday night.

Upper girls win dual against Galion

GALION — Upper Sandusky’s girls swimming team edged Galion, 52-40, but the Tigers boys prevailed, 63-31, in a dual Monday afternoon at the Galion YMCA. Jaelynn Summit won the 50 free in 28.05, Kami Swartz was first in the 200 free in 2:20.08, Amber Cox took the top spot in the 100 back in 1:18.53, and Abbey Wenger was the 100 breast winner in 1:23.33.
