The Ohio Department of Transportation recently released an updated highway construction schedule for projects in Wyandot County. Work is dependent upon weather conditions. U.S. 23 over Tymochtee Creek, just north of TH 103, will be restricted to one lane in each direction for a bridge rehabilitation project. The project also includes resurfacing of U.S. 23 between CH 97 and the U.S. 30 interchange, north of Upper Sandusky, which is expected to begin in early June. Lane restrictions are possible within the entire work zone for work done in preparation for resurfacing.

Filled with outrageous antics, incredible music and extreme talent, the musical, which is based on the classic film of the same name, offers something for everyone (though some material is unsuitable for children).

The Star Players Inc. invite interested singers, dancers and actors ages 6 through adult to open auditions for its summer musical production, Disney and Cameron McIntosh’s “Mary Poppins The Broadway Musical.” Auditions are 2 p.m. June 1 and 2 and 6:30 p.m. June 3 at The Star Theatre, 121 W. Upper Sandusky Mayor Scott Washburn read a proclamation at Fairhaven Community on Wednesday morning declaring this week as National Skilled Nursing Care Week in Upper Sandusky. Washburn congratulated Fairhaven for being named a five-star skilled nursing home by the centers of Medicare and Medicaid services.

Fairhaven residents were nothing but smiles Wednesday at the annual FFA petting zoo. Upper Sandusky High School FFA adviser Anna Creswell explained that the event is purely voluntary for students and has been taking place for the last five years since she started as adviser.

The Mohawk Community Library held a successful adult craft night Tuesday. Attendees had the opportunity to make their own succulent planter, complete with three succulents and a wide variety of decorations.

The Wyandot County Courthouse beautification began its spring season Tuesday evening when flowers were planted in the urns on the courthouse lawn as well as the welcome sign at Bicentennial Park in Upper Sandusky.

A caller reported a suspicious person walking outside their apartment on the 300 block of Highland Parkway the early morning of May 15. The responding officer was unable to locate the individual. A caller reported a reckless driver stopped at Love’s Travel Mart the early morning of May 15. The responding officer made contact with the driver, who said they were driving from Chicago to New York and advised they needed some rest.
