Area youth take turns climbing out of a boat used by Wyandot County’s water rescue team during an event Thursday celebrating hometown heroes at the Upper Sandusky Community Library.

Draft health assessment released

The Wyandot County Health Alliance held a quarterly meeting Thursday to go over a draft of the 2015 Wyandot County Community Health Status Assessment. The assessment is the fourth assessment and is completed every three years by a sample of Wyandot County residents.

Turbine to produce energy in Harpster

HARPSTER — Findlay-based Marathon Petroleum Company has been seeking opportunities for wind energy in the local area. After much testing, the location was chosen and a new wind turbine will be constructed at the Harpster pump location.
