Congressman Bob Latta and state conservationist Terry Cosby of the U.S. Department of Agriculture recently toured Wood County farms to learn about various practices utilized to improve conservation and water management in farming.

Harvey School open house slated

BUCYRUS — Candles will be glowing in the windows of Harvey One-Room School from 1-4 p.m. Sunday when the school will host an open house and Christmas celebration. Music will be provided by the Crawford Theatre Company and Emma Steiger on piano.

Library to show movies

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will show two movies Dec. 11. The movie matinee “90 Minutes In Heaven” will begin at 1 p.m. A freewill donation includes popcorn and a drink.

Concert set

A Christmas extravaganza concert is scheduled for 6 p.m. Dec. 18 at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church, 108 Malabar Drive, Upper Sandusky. Proceeds from the event will go to the Wyandot County Salvation Army.

Workshops to focus on holiday grief

Upper Sandusky Counseling and Life Coaching will host free workshops to honor memories of loved ones from 5-7 p.m. today at the Mohawk Community Library and at the same time Dec. 10 at the Upper Sandusky Community Library.

Alzheimer’s conference slated for Dec. 7 in Tiffin

TIFFIN — The Alzheimer’s Association of Northwest Ohio will host an educational conference Monday at Allen Eiry Center, 28 Hopewell Ave., Tiffin. Registration and breakfast will begin at 8 a.m., followed by a presentation from 8:30-10 a.m. on medication management and safety in dementia care by keynote speaker Timothy Burkart, a board-certified geriatric pharmacist.

Forest library to host open house

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library will host its annual soup and salad open house from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. A salad bar and a variety of soups will be available for a freewill offering that benefits the library.
