SYCAMORE — Virginia Stillberger has been recognized as volunteer of the year at the Sycamore Food Pantry at Sycamore United Church of Christ. In the second year of the award, Stillberger was honored for her commitment to the volunteer-run food pantry that was started in September 2014.

MARION — The Marion Technical College Board of Trustees recently welcomed new member Ken Young, a native and current resident of Upper Sandusky. Judge Deborah Alspach swore in Young at a recent board meeting.

Students at St. Peter School in Upper Sandusky will host a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the school gymnasium. Tickets are $8 each for adults and $4 each for children.

An information specialist from the Ohio Coalition for the Education of Children with Disabilities will present “The Journey to Adulthood” from 6:30-8 p.m. Nov. 15 in the cafeteria at Angeline School, 11028 CH 44, Upper Sandusky.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Local School is inviting local veterans to join in its celebration of 240 years of American veterans Nov. 11 in the Performing Arts Center. Activities are to include a free continental breakfast reception for veterans and their guests in the high school cafeteria starting at 8 a.m., followed by a Veterans Day assembly at 8:30 a.m. in which a number of local veterans will be presented gifts in recognition of their service to the nation, Ohio and their communities.

TOLEDO — The American Red Cross will offer two blood drives in Wyandot County in the coming week. The first bloodmobile is scheduled for 12:30-5:30 p.m. today at the Mohawk Community Center, 295 Ohio 231, Sycamore.
