MTC welcomes board member

MARION — The Marion Technical College Board of Trustees recently welcomed new member Ken Young, a native and current resident of Upper Sandusky. Judge Deborah Alspach swore in Young at a recent board meeting.

Veterans invited back to Mohawk

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Local School is inviting local veterans to join in its celebration of 240 years of American veterans Nov. 11 in the Performing Arts Center. Activities are to include a free continental breakfast reception for veterans and their guests in the high school cafeteria starting at 8 a.m., followed by a Veterans Day assembly at 8:30 a.m. in which a number of local veterans will be presented gifts in recognition of their service to the nation, Ohio and their communities.

Blood drives scheduled locally

TOLEDO — The American Red Cross will offer two blood drives in Wyandot County in the coming week. The first bloodmobile is scheduled for 12:30-5:30 p.m. today at the Mohawk Community Center, 295 Ohio 231, Sycamore.
