CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library has upcoming holiday events planned. A children’s Christmas party will be held from 5-7 p.m.

The Wellness Center at Wyandot Memorial Hospital is offering its Living with Diabetes course to diabetics and their support persons from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Dec. 20-21 in the Bowman and Kirkland Conference Rooms on the hospital’s lower level.

The World Heritage International Student Exchange Program is seeking representatives to work with volunteer host families and international exchange students in local communities. World Heritage provides academic year and semester exchange programs in the United States for high school students from around the world.

A Texas Hold’em poker tournament will be held at 7 p.m. Dec. 29 at the Wyandot Humane Society Bingo Hall. Buy-in is $50 with one $20 re-buy allowed in the first 90 minutes.

Apostolic Gospel Church, 221 N. Fifth St., Upper Sandusky, will host a “What a Wonderful Name It is” live nativity with music, narration and animals from 6:30-7:30 p.m. and 7:30-8:30 p.m. Sunday. A Christmas candelight service is set for 6:30-7:30 p.m. Dec. 24.

CAREY — The Our Lady of Consolation Volunteer Bakery, founded by the late Father Paul Faroh, is preparing for its pre-Christmas bake sale by making dinner rolls, coffee cakes and lots of pies. The bake sale will be held Saturday and Sunday.

The December meeting of the Mohawk Women’s Literary Club was held at We Luv Yogurt in Upper Sandusky. Patti Palmer collected the love gifts of cash, food items and children’s books.

FOREST — Employees of Community First Bank N.A. presented a $500 check to the Pages of Hope program. Community First Bank N.A. matched its employees “Jeans on Friday” annual collection, making it possible for employees to present the Forest Police Pages of Hope program with a $500 check recently.

Jennifer Russell and Jeff Pryor, of Upper Sandusky, are the parents of a boy. Ryker Gene Pryor was born at 2:47 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2017, in Tiffin.
