Blood drive nets 49 units

The American Red Cross recently held a blood drive at the Elks Lodge. The goal for the drive was 45 units, and it netted 49. Judy Frey, Helen Pool, Jean Byrd, Donna Young, Sandy Preston, Donna Kimmel, Mary Eklebery, Marcina Mason and Rosemarie Amos were volunteers for the drive.

Meeting minutes: December 27, 2017

The Rev. Brad McKibben and 16 members of Trinity United Church of Christ’s Women’s Guild met at We Luv Yogurt recently for its Christmas dinner, program and meeting. President Barb McEldowny welcomed those in attendance and shared the theme for the evening, “My favorite Christmas things.” McKibben led the group in prayer before the family-style dinner.

Emanuel UCC hosting Christmas services

KENTON — The Hardin County Business and Professional Women’s Club sponsors both the Helen Mabrey Shoe Fund and Sock and Slipper Christmas tree and Santa Train. The club has asked for help in donating for both and has added support from Kenton-Hardin Co. Soroptimists, the Kappa chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma International from both Hardin and Wyandot Counties and the public.
