Russell Hall did not expect to ever be a head coach when he was hired as an assistant at Upper Sandusky for the 2008 season, but 10 years later, he is. Hall was hired to lead the Rams during Monday night’s Upper Sandusky Exempted Village Schools Board meeting.

UPPER — Bucyrus boys basketball coach Justin Mattix has many memories at Upper Sandusky High School. The 2012 USHS graduate played on the boys junior varsity basketball team as a freshman and sophomore and on the varsity basketball team as a junior and senior under coach Shane Adams.

WOOSTER — A Wyandot County family was honored for its impact on the Ohio sheep industry recently at the Buckeye Shepherd’s Symposium in Wooster. Al Kin and his sons, Jim and Phil, owners of Kin Brothers Corriedales in rural Forest, were named the 2017 Charles Boyles Master Shepherd by the Ohio Sheep Improvement Association and the Ohio Sheep and Wool Program.

Carey High School senior Destiny DeFeo signed her national letter of intent to play basketball at Heidelberg University. “I got the chance to meet the team and they were really nice and I like them,” DeFeo said.
