BUCYRUS — One day after suffering a walk-off loss, Wynford came out on the winning end, taking a 4-3 victory against Bucyrus in eight innings on Josh Crall’s sacrifice fly Wednesday at Wynford. The Royals lost on a walk-off hit by pitch at Buckeye Central on Tuesday.

CAREY — Heading into the bottom of the third inning of a scoreless contest, the Carey softball team scored three runs and added five more in the bottom of the fourth inning to pull away for an 8-2 victory over Colonel Crawford on Wednesday at Water Works Park.

Thanks to the strength of their doubles teams and No. 3 singles player, the Marion Harding boys tennis team edged Upper Sandusky 3-2 on Wednesday at Upper Sandusky. Levi Malone defeated Hez Barron 6-7, (3-7), 6-2, 7-5 in the No. 1 singles match.

BUCYRUS — Northern 10 Athletic Conference favorite Bucyrus overwhelmed Wynford in a 13-2 softball victory Wednesday at Wynford. The Redmen (4-3, 3-0 N10) scored in every inning, including six times in the third inning to go up 9-0.

CAREY — Carey answered Colonel Crawford’s runs in the first inning but the Eagles kept coming on their way to a 14-2 victory in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Wednesday at Carey. After both teams scored twice in the first inning, the Eagles (3-3, 2-2 N10) scored eight times in the second inning, once each in the third and fourth innings and twice in the fifth inning.

NEW WASHINGTON — Mohawk used an eight-run seventh inning to run away with a 16-2 victory against Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Wednesday at Buckeye Central. The Warriors (3-0, 2-0 N10) led 3-2 after one inning, 5-2 after three innings, 7-2 after four innings and had an 8-2 lead going into the seventh.

NEW WASHINGTON — Mohawk scored in every inning of a 15-2 five-inning rout of Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Wednesday at Buckeye Central. With the game tied at 1, the Warriors (4-0, 2-0 N10) scored five times in the second inning and then three more times in the third to take a commanding 9-1 lead.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s girls took first place in a Blanchard Valley Conference quad track and field meet Tuesday at Riverdale. The Falcons topped Arcadia 97-63, with Leipsic taking third over Vanlue 52-38.
