Upper Sandusky High School will be hosting a spring sports parent meeting at 7 p.m. Feb. 25. Parents of all spring sports athletes are expected to attend.

SYCAMORE — The Upper Sandusky junior varsity girls basketball game at Mohawk at noon Saturday will be two quarters only. Mohawk is low on junior varsity numbers because of injuries and ACT testing.

TIFFIN — The first organizational meeting for all coaches in the Sen-San-Wyan girls softball league is 7 p.m. March 6  in the Upper Room at St. Joseph Activity Center on Melmore Street in Tiffin. This instructional league is open to all girls in the surrounding areas and no girl will be denied participation on their home team.

SYCAMORE — It wasn’t the start the Mohawk wrestling team was hoping for, but trailing Upper Sandusky by 21 points after four matches, the rally began. The Warriors won five of the next six matches as the dual match against the Rams ended in a 30-30 tie on Tuesday at Mohawk. Upper Sandusky won by criteria.

NEW RIEGEL — When Carey shoots it from the outside like it did Tuesday night, there’s little an opponent can do. New Riegel was the victim of an 11-of-21 3-point shooting night for the Blue Devils, who rolled to a 74-41 victory in nonleague boys basketball play at New Riegel.

ARCADIA — Zach Hayman knocked down six 3-pointers and scored 28 points for the second straight game as Mohawk routed Arcadia 75-43 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Arcadia. Hayman also scored 28 points Saturday against Bucyrus, reaching exactly 1,000 points in his career.

BUCYRUS — Kaden Ronk and Ty Clark combined for 44 points to lead Crestline to its first victory against Wynford in 24 years, 67-58 on Tuesday night at Wynford. Ronk scored 23 points and Clark finished with 21 for the Bulldogs, who last defeated the Royals Jan. 19, 1995.

BUCYRUS — Upper Sandusky’s eighth grade girls basketball team advanced to the championship game of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls basketball tournament with a 33-18 semifinal victory against Colonel Crawford on Tuesday at Bucyrus Middle School.

The Wyandot Sports Hall of Fame has announced its inductees for 2019. This year’s class includes Michael Dennis, Tim Gebhardt, Ed Hahn, Conrad Walcutt, Jon Wells, Jack West and the 2011 Wyandot County Indians basketball team.

GALION — Wynford scored 23 points in the third quarter to pull away for a 58-35 victory against Northmor in a nonconference girls basketball game Monday night. The Royals (13-5) led 16-9 after one quarter and 23-17 at halftime before extending their lead to 46-29 by the end of the third quarter.
