TIFFIN — Tiffin Cal Ripken D League baseball is hosting fall baseball for those 11 before May 1, 2017 and not 13 before May 1, 2016. For more information, call Jeff Hohman at 419-448-7321. The deadline is July 23.

Tree Town Fest sports events to be played

FOREST — The 2016 Tree Town Festival to be held Friday through Sunday at Gormley Park in Forest will hold various athletic events for festival goers to participate in again this year. Events include the Tree Town Trot 5K, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, a 4-on-4 volleyball tournament and a fishing derby.

USHS to host youth volleyball camp July 20-22

The Upper Sandusky “Little Lady Ram Spikers” summer volleyball camp is July 20-22 at Upper Sandusky High School. Camp will be held for students in third through fifth grades from 8-10 a.m. and for students in sixth through eighth grades from 10 a.m. to noon.

Trap shoot for youth to be held Thursday

SYCAMORE — Pheasants Forever is sponsoring a free youth trap shoot at 6 p.m. Thursday at Rogers Lake Conservation Club, 1748 Ohio 103, Sycamore. It is open to anyone 17 and younger, and shotguns, shells and targets will be provided to anyone who needs them.

Recent Wynford High School graduate Rhieannae Cory (front) recently committed to continue playing volleyball at Muskingum University in New Concord. She will major in business management and sports and fitness science.

McCallister Scouting Report, run by Upper Sandusky native John McCallister, hosted a combine for the Upper Sandusky football team last week.

Dweazley’s reaches finals

Dweazley’s Repeaters scored four runs with two outs in the top of the fourth inning Monday to defeat Bookie’s Lawn Service, 8-6, and advance to the finals of the Upper Sandusky Junior League fastpitch tournament against the Upper Sandusky Fire Department.

Upper’s Knapp 2nd, Wynford’s Beachler places 3rd at Pine Lakes

MOUNT GILEAD — Upper Sandusky’s Owen Knapp finished second by one stroke in his 12-and-younger division Tuesday in the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Mount Gilead. Knapp shot a nine-hole 46 that included two pars, finishing a stroke behind Pleasant’s Minoy Shah, who parred two holes, including No. 9. Wynford’s Jacob Beaschler was two strokes out of first, shooting a 47 to finish in third place.
