NORTH ROBINSON — Mohawk was impressive in a 25-16, 25-21, 25-23 road sweep of Colonel Crawford on Monday night. The Eagles (9-6, 6-4 N10) entered on a four-match winning streak, including a sweep of Carey on Thursday, but the Warriors (12-3, 8-2 N10) won for the 10th time in their last 11 matches.

FINDLAY — For the second time in three days, Carey’s Trevor Cook and Tyler Leist took first and second to lead Carey to a championship, this time the Van Buren Invitational at Owens Community College.

Trudy Daughenbaugh tied a school record with four assists, and Sierra Carey scored twice as the Upper Sandusky girls soccer team took a 6-0 victory against Mansfield Senior on Saturday.

ONTARIO — Madelyn Shasteen was ninth and Adriane Weininger finished 12th to lead Upper Sandusky to a seventh-place finish Saturday in the Bill Brown Invitational at Ontario’s Marshall Park. Shasteen finished in 21:08.67, with Weininger crossing the finish line in 21:31.08.

GALION — Tim Chandler was ninth to lead Wynford’s boys to fourth place Saturday in the Crawford County Meet at Amman’s Park. Colonel Crawford’s boys and girls both won easily with 26 and 24 points, respectively.

FREMONT — Mohawk’s girls were sixth and its boys were ninth in the Streak Invitational on Saturday at Walsh Park. Bellevue was the girls winner, 32-67, over Huron, with Mohawk scoring 157 points.

ARLINGTON — Carey was second in the Sycamore Springs Invitational on Saturday in preparation for this week’s sectional tournament that also will be held at Sycamore Springs. Lima Bath won it, 350-358, over Carey.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Gabi Rodriguez contributed to five goals in Riverdale’s 6-0 girls soccer victory against Botkins on Saturday night. Rodriguez scored three times and assisted twice.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk enjoyed a seven-match unbeaten run in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference before its second meeting with first-place Buckeye Central on Thursday night.

CAREY — It was nice for Carey to be back on its home course and even better to come away champions in all four divisions Thursday in the Carey Run. The Blue Devils were forced off their home course while the new school building was under construction, but the race returned to Carey this year, with the varsity boys running away with a 16-53 advantage over Van Buren and the girls winning 23-34 over Riverdale.
