MORRAL — Seven different players scored at least five points for Carey in a 60-44 win at Ridgedale on Friday.

NORTH BALTIMORE — North Baltimore outlasted Riverdale, 58-45, in a Blanchard Valley Conference boys basketball game Friday.

Abigail Fogle did not need too long to get her milestone out of the way. In the first game of January of her junior season, Fogle needed eight points to reach the 1,000 career points plateau.

ATTICA — Wynford played defense well enough to win, but the offense was a struggle again. The Royals shot just 13.7 percent in a 41-17 loss to Seneca East on Thursday night.

RAWSON — Riverdale held Cory-Rawson scoreless in the first quarter and led by 50 points at halftime in a 77-18 victory in a Blanchard Valley Conference girls basketball victory Thursday night at Cory-Rawson. The Falcons (7-4, 3-2 BVC) led 28-0 after one quarter and 53-3 at halftime.

MORRAL — Winless in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference, Ridgedale hung tough with Carey, but the Blue Devils pulled away for a 55-32 victory Thursday night. Carey (6-3, 4-2 N10) led 17-8 after one quarter, 32-19 at halftime and 43-26 after three quarters.

Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church A dropped its final game, 8-2, but won 13-9 and 6-4 in the first two games against St. Paul Lutheran 1 on Thursday to remain tied for first place in the Wyandot County Church Dartball League.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — In an event that featured only two contested matches, Riverdale used forfeit victories to take a 39-6 win against Fostoria St. Wendelin in a wrestling dual Wednesday evening at Riverdale.

FINDLAY — The Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches will host the Northwest Ohio District Indoor Track and Field Invitation on Jan. 20 at the University of Findlay’s Malcolm Athletic Center inside the Koehler Fitness and Recreation Complex.

CAREY — The Carey Teen Leadership Corps will hold the second annual basketball Coaches vs. Cancer games Jan. 21. Carey’s girls take on Mohawk at 1 p.m., while the boys complete against Upper Sandusky at 6 p.m.
