Draper 3rd, 3 Warriors finish 5th TOLEDO — Mohawk senior Cole Draper will get this third shot at the state wrestling tournament, but this time, it will not be as a district champion, and he likely will not have any teammates competing along with him. The Warriors were bitten by close losses in key matches in the Division III district tournament at Waite on Saturday, and seniors Chet Margraf and Cadin Emshoff and junior Parker Brown settled for fifth-place finishes that leave them as state alternates. Riverdale’s Frey takes 6th place; Loveridge finishes 2-2 TOLEDO — Two of Riverdale’s three district qualifiers picked up two tournament wins, and all three will be back for next season. The Falcons were led by junior Wayne Frey’s sixth-place finish at 145 pounds on Saturday in the Division III tournament at Waite. Rams’ Clary takes 2nd; Johnston, Frey place 5th MANSFIELD — Noah Clary is headed back to state, and though it is unlikely any of his teammates will wrestle with him in Columbus next weekend, Upper Sandusky has made a mark on the area. The Rams finished seventh in the Division II Mansfield district with 70 points, behind Buckeye (79.5) in sixth and ahead of the likes of Napoleon (66.5) in eighth, Bay (66.5) in ninth and Tiffin Columbian (62) in 10th.
