Upper man assaulted in county jail A man was assaulted by a fellow inmate Friday morning at the Wyandot County Jail. Joshua B. Risner, New Riegel, entered the cell of an Upper Sandusky man while he was sleeping and began to assault him, according to the sheriff’s report. Read More

Sheriff’s deputies make arrests, deal with escaped dogs David W. Owen, Marion, was picked up at Ross Correctional Institute, Chillicothe, and transported to Wyandot County Common Pleas Court for a judicial release hearing the morning of Aug. 15. A deputy responded to a loose dog call in Nevada the afternoon of Aug. 15. The dog was taken to the Wyandot County Humane Society but escaped upon arrival. Read More
