Crawford Park District to be closed

BUCYRUS — The Crawford Park District office and the Lowe-Volk Park Nature Center will be closed Dec. 25 for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day. The Nature Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 26-30. It is closed Sundays until April.

Humane Society: December 19, 2017

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a male tiger cat, a black and white male cat, a female Siamese cat, a red male heeler, a female tan Lab, a female tan Lab puppy, a brindle and white male pit bull and a black and white male boxer.

Forest library taking food for fines

FOREST — The Forest-Jackson Public Library, located at 102 W. Lima St., will be having “Food for Fines” throughout the month of December. One can of food equals one dollar off of fines. Donors are asked to check cans for expirations. The items will be distributed to local food pantries.

USMS student-athletes of the month

The Upper Sandusky Athletic Boosters announced that Jenna Kurtz (left) and Nevin Boes (right) have been selected as the Upper Sandusky Middle School Student-Athletes of the Month. Both carry high GPAs and are active in their communities.

Grieving program Monday

FINDLAY — Bridge Bereavement Services will offer a presentation, “Will it be a Blue Christmas” that focuses on how individuals can prepare for the holidays while allowing themselves to grieve in a healthy manner from 7-8:30 p.m. Monday in Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital, 1900 S. Main St., Findlay.
