SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Community Library will sponsor a Christmas break movie day at 1 p.m. Thursday. The free event will be an animated movie featuring LEGOs.

For the 19th year in a row, The First Citizens National Bank is presenting Wyandot Memorial Hospital’s Comedy Night to help with priority patient-related projects at WMH.

A Texas Hold’em poker tournament will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Wyandot Humane Society Bingo Hall. Buy-in is $50 with one $20 re-buy allowed in the first 90 minutes.

The American Red Cross recently held a blood drive at the Elks Lodge. The goal for the drive was 45 units, and it netted 49. Judy Frey, Helen Pool, Jean Byrd, Donna Young, Sandy Preston, Donna Kimmel, Mary Eklebery, Marcina Mason and Rosemarie Amos were volunteers for the drive.

The Rev. Brad McKibben and 16 members of Trinity United Church of Christ’s Women’s Guild met at We Luv Yogurt recently for its Christmas dinner, program and meeting. President Barb McEldowny welcomed those in attendance and shared the theme for the evening, “My favorite Christmas things.” McKibben led the group in prayer before the family-style dinner.
