SYCAMORE — A Sycamore business that has spanned four decades in the village was a complete loss this morning in a large fire to which six area fire departments responded.

A Columbus man and a man from Warren County in southwest Ohio are in custody after police in Upper Sandusky located more than 70 pounds of marijuana edibles in their vehicle over the weekend.

The Veterans Heritage Foundation of Wyandot County is ready to present its latest proposal for the World War I monument at Bicentennial Park to the Upper Sandusky Park Board. Attendees of the Thursday Evening at the Museum program got an early look at the plans, as members of the local heritage foundation presented Thursday’s program at the Wyandot County Museum.

The Wyandot County 4-H awards night recently took place for select projects in the Masters’ Building at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. Members were judged on their 4-H projects June 27-28 in the categories of woodworking, cake decorating, electricity, pets, clothing, sewing and more.

SYCAMORE — For Sycamore resident Kevin Romanko and his son, Alec, every day is a struggle for survival. More than 10 years after Alec’s diagnosis with obsessive compulsive disorder, Kevin finally has found a light in the tunnel of his son’s condition.

KENTON — As Joe Torrillo drove into New York City on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, he knew this was going to be one of the biggest days of his life. It was, but not for any of the reasons he expected.

No one was injured in a structure fire that decimated the TH 58 residence of an Upper Sandusky couple Sunday. According to a press release from the Upper Sandusky Fire Department, firefighters responded to 12491 TH 58 at 7:14 a.m. for a fully involved structure fire and executed a “defensive attack.”
