Star Players Inc. is staging its first production of the 2021 season. “Forever Plaid” takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. today and Friday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at The Star Theatre in Upper Sandusky.

Tickets are $15 for members and $12 for nonmembers.

“Forever Plaid” tells the story of a 1950s doo wop group on its way to its first big gig. Tragedy strikes, and the group never makes it. However, it is given a second chance to be stars as the members always dreamed they could. Harmonies and catchy tunes flow throughout this one-act production.

The Plaids are portrayed by Reid Barth as Francis, Wayne Rowe as Smudge, Charles Groth as Sparky, and Eric Julian Walker as Jinx. The production is under the direction of Star Players veteran director Kristina Pritchard. Music direction and accompanist is provided by Jim Besch.

Tickets may be reserved by calling 419-291-1411. Tickets also will be available at the box office 30 minutes before the show time each day.
