USHS to admit military free at Jan. 19 game

The OHSAA has designated Jan. 19 as Military Appreciation Night for high school basketball games across Ohio. The Upper Sandusky High School athletic department is honoring U.S. Armed Forces during the Rams home game against Carey and will admit active and veteran U.S. Armed Forces members for free.

USMS to admit military free at Jan. 18

The OHSAA has deemed Jan. 19 as Armed Services Appreciation Night for basketball games. In honor of this, Upper Sandusky Middle School will allow any former or active service member into its Jan. 18 girls basketball games against Mohawk for free.

Upper to have no-contact days

The Upper Sandusky High School and Upper Sandusky Middle School summer athletic no-contact period will be observed from June 30 through July 8. No practices, games, shoot-outs, 7-on-7s, competitions, individual instruction, open gym or fields, conditioning or weight training will be held during this time.

Rockets won’t play boys JV

MORRAL — Ridgedale has announced it will not play junior varsity boys basketball at all this season. Junior varsity girls basketball games will be played on a selective basis.

Defense led to offense, and in turn, more defense. The pattern repeated to the tune of a 14-0 run that helped Upper Sandusky take a 68-54 victory against Colonel Crawford on Saturday night that evens things up at the top of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball standings.
