An Upper Sandusky man was arrested Wednesday after the Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit recovered over 100 marijuana plants from an Upper Sandusky residence. William S. Rimmer, 37, of Upper Sandusky, was arrested in Marion County and transported to Wyandot County where he faces felony charges.

Storm spotters are important to the warning operations of the National Weather Service, as meteorologists in the office will only know what the radar instrumentation is indicating. The storm spotters are the eyes on the ground, verifying all radar indicated weather is taking place. On Thursday, Christine Riley, warning coordination meteorologist for the National Weather Service in Cleveland — one of 122 NWS offices across the country — provided NWS Skywarn classroom training to locals interested in becoming storm spotters.

The Wyandot County Board of Developmental Disabilities celebrated the success of recent events in its monthly meeting Thursday. Angeline Superintendent Todd Dilley reported that the board is currently in the middle of Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and just over 90 people attended a recent breakfast put on by Angeline for county leaders.

BUCYRUS — Wynford received a presentation from Robert W. Baird & Co. Wednesday during its Board of Education meeting. Managing Director Mike Burns discussed the school’s A+ bond rating, which was 196th out of 405 rated school districts in Ohio.
