A goose stretches out its wings in the morning sun at Duck Pond Park in Upper Sandusky. Temperatures are expected to be more spring-like this week with highs in the mid 50s.

Daily Chief in need of carriers

The Daily Chief-Union has an immediate need for motor route drivers and foot carriers. Delivery is Monday through Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Motor routes take about three hours per day, and foot routes take around 30 minutes. Anyone 10 and older is welcome to apply for a foot route. New cases filed in county common pleas court

Major Crime Unit releases report

The Wyandot County Major Crimes Unit reported the results of its 2017 investigations in a press release earlier this year. Beginning on July 11, 2017 through the end of 2017, the Major Crimes Unit conducted felony investigations leading to 32 search warrants being executed and 43 felony indictments being prosecuted.

Printing error led to wrong pages in paper

A mistake at the printing facility put Daily Chief-Union pages 3 and 6 in the Kenton Times and Kenton Times pages 3 and 6 in the Daily Chief-Union in Friday’s editions. They were out the door for delivery before the mistake was discovered.
