Happy Thanksgiving

A roadside decoration was given a special Thanksgiving twist between CH 61 and Ohio 199 by the overpass running south out of Upper Sandusky towards Marion. The holiday season is in full swing in Wyandot County with Christmas being celebrated next week in Upper Sandusky.

Achieving the highest possible rating, Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care received zero violations from the Ohio Department of Health following an unannounced inspection conducted Oct. 31.

Ohio Ag acquiring Schmidt’s equipment sales

Ohio Ag Equipment announced its intent to acquire the Wyandot County AGCO dealer Schmidt Machine Company, Ag division, on the target date of Dec. 17. The acquisition of Schmidt Machine Company’s equipment business will strengthen Ohio Ag Equipment’s ability to service the ag industry by providing customers in central Ohio with an exceptional line of equipment and product support.

400 USMS students volunteer as part of Robby Lee Day of Service

Over 400 Upper Sandusky Middle School students paid it forward with some good deeds Tuesday morning for the second annual Robby Lee Day of Service. Starting at around 8:45 a.m., every single sixth, seventh and eighth grade student at Upper Sandusky Middle School was either helping rake leaves at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds or putting up Christmas decorations at the Wyandot County Museum.

Rover Pipeline to provide $875K to Mohawk in tax year 2019

SYCAMORE — Mohawk Local School District will have more money to work with beginning in 2019 after a report from the treasurer at the Mohawk Board of Education meeting Tuesday. Mohawk Treasurer Rhonda Feasel reported income tax for October 2018 is higher by over $31,000 compared to October of last year and is up over $118,000 overall compared to 2017.
