Wyandot Skilled introduces administrator The Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center officially introduced its new administrator Elaine Roynon with a meet and greet this week at the facility. Roynon was hired after interviewing with the Wyandot County Commissioners. She replaces former administrator Greg Lonsway, who resigned in August for medical reasons. Read More
Man arrested after hourslong standoff with Carey police CAREY — A Carey man who allegedly made threats to his mother and stepfather, threatened to kill himself and barricaded himself in a residence was arrested early Friday morning. Gibsonburg goes undefeated to take Mohawk Duals championship SYCAMORE — Gibsonburg went 5-0 to take the team championship Friday in the second annual Mohawk Duals wrestling tournament. Pets need help from fires too Dr. Robert Cope (right) of the Animal Clinic of Upper Sandusky recently donated items to the Upper Sandusky Fire Department to be used in order to save the lives of pets involved in a home fire. Items included stretchers and oxygen masks of various sizes, leashes and instructions for the use of the items. Read More
Library has no time limit from insurance for flooding repairs The Upper Sandusky Community Library Board held its final meeting of 2018 Thursday afternoon. Library Director Kathleen Whitt said the insurance adjuster told her there’s no time limit on the restoration from the flooding in September. Read More
Christmas donation The White Shutter Winery donated $1,008 to the Star Theatre in Upper Sandusky at the Christmas Cabaret on Saturday. The funds were raised from a murder mystery dinner and another dinner is planned in the future. Read More
