Wyandot Skilled introduces administrator

Welcome to the family

The Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center officially introduced its new administrator Elaine Roynon with a meet and greet this week at the facility. Roynon was hired after interviewing with the Wyandot County Commissioners. She replaces former administrator Greg Lonsway, who resigned in August for medical reasons.

Man arrested after hourslong standoff with Carey police

CAREY — A Carey man who allegedly made threats to his mother and stepfather, threatened to kill himself and barricaded himself in a residence was arrested early Friday morning. At 2:27 a.m. Friday, Charity Henderson of rural Vanlue called the Carey Police Department requesting a welfare check on her 19-year-old son, Zane D. Mahan.

Pets need help from fires too

Dr. Robert Cope (right) of the Animal Clinic of Upper Sandusky recently donated items to the Upper Sandusky Fire Department to be used in order to save the lives of pets involved in a home fire. Items included stretchers and oxygen masks of various sizes, leashes and instructions for the use of the items.
