Upper PD spreads Christmas cheer

The Upper Sandusky Police Department helped spread Christmas cheer to area youth Wednesday evening at Walmart with its 2018 “Shop with a Cop” program. Twenty-three children were selected to participate in the evening, which allows the children to pick out gifts while accompanied by an Upper Sandusky police officer.

ODOT seeks comment on project

LIMA — The Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 is seeking public comments regarding a proposed Ogg Street bridge project in Carey. ODOT, in partnership with the village of Carey, is proposing to replace the Ogg Street bridge over Spring Run.

Caldwell promoted at WMH

John Caldwell has been named the senior director of administrative services and business development at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Caldwell oversees the dietary, environmental services, maintenance and materials management departments.

Sycamore thanks employees for work this year

SYCAMORE — Sycamore Village Council held its final meeting of 2018 at council chambers Tuesday evening. Village Administrator Chuck Clark thanked the women at the office as well as every one of the village’s current and recently retired employees for getting a lot done this year.

Davita, an international dialysis company based in Upper Sandusky chose St. Peter School as the recipient of its 2018 DaVita Way of Giving. The school was presented with a check for $1,150 Tuesday morning and DaVita volunteers stuck behind to help serve lunch to students.
