Sycamore changes starting pay for fiscal officer position SYCAMORE — Sycamore Council retracted its resolution from last month and passed a new one that increases the pay for the fiscal officer during Tuesday night’s meeting. The previous resolution created the position of fiscal officer, a hired position, to replace the clerk-treasurer, an elected position, and set the beginning pay at $33,000. However, councilman Tony Flood said that was in conflict with another council resolution that says all village salaried positions must start with a salary of at least $35,000. Read More
