The Dorcas Carey Public Library will be holding a workshop at 6:30 p.m. Monday, March 21 for Nook users. Participants will familiarize themselves with the online library catalog and the Ohio Digital Library (eBooks).

SYCAMORE — Westbrook Assisted Living and Memory Care will sponsor accessory bingo at 5:30 p.m. April 7 at the Sycamore Community Center, 3894 Ohio 103. The event will feature purses, jewelry and other accessories, and donations are being accepted.

MANSFIELD — Area Agency on Aging District 5 is planning upcoming workshops for certification of coaches in two statewide programs, Healthy U and A Matter of Balance. The Healthy U coaches class is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15, 17, 22 and 24. Lunch will be provided.

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on March 3 and is correct as of that date: Pets reported as missing since the previous report that have not been found include a tan female retriever mix, a tan and white female pit bull, a shepherd mix with one blue eye, a yellow neutered male cat, a buff color cat with a white tip on its tail and a black and white neutered male cat.

March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month To many Ohioans, March means basketball playoffs, hockey playoffs and the start of warm weather sports like golf, tennis, soccer and baseball — and gambling.

TIFFIN — A public records training for elected officials or their designees is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. April 8 at North Central Ohio Educational Service Center, 928 W. Market St., Tiffin. The speaker will be Melissa J. Crocker, assistant legal counsel with the Ohio Auditor’s Office.

TIFFIN — An initial meeting for new volunteers of Court Appointed Special Advocates of Wyandot County will take place from 5-6 p.m. Tuesday at CASA’s Tiffin office, 21 Court St. The meeting is to set up training for new volunteers and go over materials.

The March meeting of the women’s guild of Emanuel United Church of Christ recently was held in the church Alban room. President Sandy Kotterman opened the meeting with prayer.

CAREY — A spaghetti dinner to benefit Bradley Hotelling in his battle against leukemia will take place at 4 p.m. March 12 at Carey Eagles No. 2198. Hotelling, a Carey High School graduate, was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in early December.
