Susan K. Adkins

Susan K. Adkins, age 75, of Upper Sandusky, passed away Monday, Dec. 2, 2019, in the emergency room of Wyandot Memorial Hospital in Upper Sandusky.
Susan was born Oct. 22, 1944, in Upper Sandusky, to Voyle and Kathryn (Kirby) Brown, both of whom are deceased.
She is survived by two children, Tammy (Rick Furniss) Adkins, Marion; and Brian Adkins, Upper Sandusky; four grandchildren, Jason (Chanda) Adkins, Tony (Christina) Adkins, Jeremy Adkins and Brandy Adkins; along with five great-grandchildren, Jason II, Chevea, Cora, Chevy and Hayley.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Paul, Jack and James.
She was a 1962 graduate of Upper Sandusky High School and went on to work for the former Bob and Shirley’s Restaurant, Dairy Mart and Liqui-Box, all in Upper Sandusky.
Susan was a former member of the Moose, Eagles and AMVETS in Upper Sandusky, and also Emmanuel United Church of Christ.
For hobbies, she enjoyed listening to Elvis, going to craft shows, flea markets, garage sales, shopping and spending time with the grandkids.
A funeral service for Susan K. Adkins is 11 a.m. Monday at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky with Chaplain Steve Sturgeon officiating. Burial will follow at Old Mission Cemetery. Visitation is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
