Riverdale boys track names award winners

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale boys track and field team has announced its award winners for this past season. Taylor Bacon was honored as the team MVP and with the most points scored in field events. Caleb McCoy scored the most points in running events.

Performance clinic ongoing June and July

The Ram Performance Clinic for high school athletes is available this June and July. The sports enhancement program includes a Functional Movement Screening, goal-setting for the athlete and one-on-one training sessions tailored to each athlete’s needs.

Upper Sandusky High School Athletic Director Brad Ehrman reported the sports physicals for high school and middle school athletes raised $1,320 to help purchase medical supplies for district teams.

Riverdale and Carey players in All-Star game

FOSTORIA — Seven area players will compete for the West in the 35th annual East-West All-Star Football Game presented by the Fostoria Athletic Boosters at 7 p.m. Saturday at Fostoria Memorial Stadium. Wide receiver and free safety Cody Luzader, fullback and linebacker Logan Smiley and center and defensive tackle Daniel Barnett will represent Carey, while running back and linebacker Aidan Loveridge, wide receiver and cornerback Wayne Frey, offensive lineman and linebacker Ethan Hayes and wide receiver and defensive back Cody Mason will represent Riverdale.
