Hayman’s 28 points lead Mohawk rout

ARCADIA — Zach Hayman knocked down six 3-pointers and scored 28 points for the second straight game as Mohawk routed Arcadia 75-43 in a nonconference boys basketball game Tuesday night at Arcadia. Hayman also scored 28 points Saturday against Bucyrus, reaching exactly 1,000 points in his career.

Crestline ends losing streak to Wyfnord

BUCYRUS — Kaden Ronk and Ty Clark combined for 44 points to lead Crestline to its first victory against Wynford in 24 years, 67-58 on Tuesday night at Wynford. Ronk scored 23 points and Clark finished with 21 for the Bulldogs, who last defeated the Royals Jan. 19, 1995.

Big 3rd quarter helps Royals get 58-35 win

GALION — Wynford scored 23 points in the third quarter to pull away for a 58-35 victory against Northmor in a nonconference girls basketball game Monday night. The Royals (13-5) led 16-9 after one quarter and 23-17 at halftime before extending their lead to 46-29 by the end of the third quarter.

NORTH BALTIMORE — North Baltimore scored 41 points in the middle two quarters to pull away for a 60-43 victory against Carey in a nonconference girls basketball game Monday night. The Tigers (11-7) led just 10-8 after one quarter but a 22-point second quarter helped them extend their lead to 32-19.

Eagles shut down Warriors

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford held Mohawk to eight points in the first half and pulled away with a 44-21 victory in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls basketball game Monday night. The Eagles (12-7, 8-7 N10) led 9-4 after one quarter, 23-8 at halftime and 35-16 after three quarters.

Upper boys teams advance

BUCYRUS — Levi Lamb scored 18 points to lead Upper Sandusky past Bucyrus 51-25 in the quarterfinals of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference eighth grade boys basketball tournament Monday at Wynford Elementary. Jackson Smalley scored 9 points, and Keegan Iles added 6 points.

Inside game lifts Rams in 2nd half

The Northern 10 Athletic Conference’s leading 3-point shooting team, Upper Sandusky showed in the second half Saturday night it is not a one-trick pony. The Rams struggled offensively in the first half with their outside shooting off the mark but found plenty of success in the second half by pounding the ball inside, pulling away for a 68-49 victory against Buckeye Central.
