Sure, the Upper Sandusky baseball team scored 14 runs and Brenyn Marquart pitched a complete game in five innings. But those weren’t the only reasons the Rams’ 14-0 victory over Colonel Crawford on Tuesday at Upper Sandusky won’t soon be forgotten.

Despite a late rally by the Colonel Crawford softball team, the Upper Sandusky softball team held on for an 8-6 victory over the Eagles on Tuesday at Upper Sandusky High School. The Rams (4-3, 2-0 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) fell behind 2-0 after the first inning, but scored three runs in the second inning, four in the third and added another in the fourth.

Physicals to be offered May 29 at Upper HS

Upper Sandusky High School and SportsCare at Wyandot Memorial Hospital are partnering to offer athletic physicals May 29 for students entering seventh through 12th grades. WMH staff and local chiropractors will provide physical exams for a $15 donation to the USHS athletic department.

Mohawk track teams finish 2nd in tri with Crawford, Ridgedale

MORRAL — Mohawk’s boys and girls combined to win 13 events while both finishing second in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference tri-match Monday at Ridgedale. Colonel Crawford won the girls meet with 89 points, with Mohawk finishing well ahead of Ridgedale 57-27. The Eagles boys scored 98 points, followed by the Warriors with 39 points and the Rockets with 35 points.

Wynford scores 5 in 7th in victory

NEW WASHINGTON — Wynford put away Buckeye Central late with a five-run seventh inning in a 9-2 victory in Northern 10 Athletic Conference play Tuesday at Buckeye Central. The Royals (2-4, 2-1 N10) scored twice in the first inning but the Buckettes (0-5, 0-3 N10) stayed close throughout.
