MOUNT BLANCHARD — Andrew Kuenzli and Riverdale continued their hot streaks as the Falcons defeated Kenton 4-0 in a nonconference baseball game Thursday at Riverdale. Kuenzli had a hit in his 10th consecutive at-bat during a three-run first inning for the Falcons (4-1).

The Rams went out to eat beforehand and were able to tour the Varsity Tennis Center at Ohio State, including the recruiting room and the team locker room.

Upper Sandusky’s Alivia Oney, Riverdale’s Alec Loveridge and Mohawk’s Zach Hayman all earned Academic All-Ohio honors by the Ohio HIgh School Basketball Coaches Association. Oney was one of 10 seniors from across the state named to the girls basketball Division II team. The All-Northern 10 Athletic Conference second team pick averaged 10.7 points per game and has a 3.99 GPA. …

MARION — The Wynford baseball team took an early two-run lead, but the Pleasant tied the game in the bottom of the second and pulled away for good by scoring seven runs in the bottom of the fifth on the way to a 12-2 run-rule victory over Wynford on Thursday.

The Upper Sandusky junior high girls track and field team opened its season Tuesday by winning a home tri-meet against Seneca East and Wynford. The Rams scored 56.5 points, with the Tigers and Royals following with 43.5 and 26 points, respectively.

Upper Sandusky High School is searching for a person to line the athletic fields for the 2019-20 school year.

SYCAMORE — The third annual Mohawk boys basketball skills camp is 3:30-5 p.m. May 21-23 in the middle school and high school gyms. The camp for students in second through sixth grades costs $25 and includes a Warriors basketball and a Warriors basketball camp T-shirt.
