KENTON — Wynford’s Jacob Beaschler was second in the 12-and-under division of the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Veterans Memorial Golf Course in Kenton on Thursday. Beaschler shot a nine-hole 47, including two pars, for second place behind Marion Pleasant’s Minoy Shah, who shot 44 to top the field.

SYCAMORE — The Sycamore Soccer League is accepting registrations through July 15. Area players who turn age 5 by Aug. 1 through eighth grade are welcomed for the recreational league.

TIFFIN — Tiffin Cal Ripken D League baseball is hosting fall baseball for those 11 before May 1, 2017 and not 13 before May 1, 2016. No whole teams will be taken.

FOREST — The 2016 Tree Town Festival to be held tonight through Sunday at Gormley Park in Forest will hold various athletic events for festival-goers to participate in again this year. Events include the Tree Town Trot 5K, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, a 4-on-4 volleyball tournament and a fishing derby.

Grace Swartz, 12, who will be a seventh grader at Upper Sandusky Middle School this fall, received three medals while competing in the YMCA Gymnastics Nationals on Friday in Long Beach, California. Competing for the Zero Gravity gymnastics team from the Tiffin Community YMCA, Swartz won medals in the beam, vault and floor.

The Upper Sandusky “Little Lady Ram Spikers” summer volleyball camp is July 20-22 at Upper Sandusky High School. Camp will be held for students in third through fifth grades from 8-10 a.m. and for students in sixth through eighth grades from 10 a.m. to noon.

Upper Sandusky High School will host a fall sports parent meeting at 7 p.m. July 25 in the high school gym. Parents of all fall sports athletes, except those in golf and cross country, are expected to attend.
