MOUNT BLANCHARD — Both Riverdale’s girls and boys were winners in a home tri-meet against Arlington and Liberty-Benton on Tuesday.

BUCYRUS — Wynford’s boys were first and the girls were second Tuesday in a home tri-meet against Buckeye Central and Ridgedale.

NORTH ROBINSON — Carey’s girls and boys were second and Mohawk’s teams took third in a tri-meet Tuesday at Colonel Crawford.

BUCYRUS — Sydney Swavel hit a two-run home run in the top of the 10th to keep Upper Sandusky undefeated in Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball play with an extra-inning 4-2 victory at Bucyrus on Monday. The Redmen (2-5, 1-4 N10) extended the game with two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, and neither team scored again until Swavel’s blast, which followed an Erika Rosario single.

BUCYRUS — Bucyrus picked up its first Northern 10 Athletic Conference win and knocked Upper Sandusky out of sole possession of the league lead with a 9-5 victory Monday. The Redmen (2-8, 1-4 N10) took control with a four-run third inning that gave them a 5-1 advantage.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale extended its baseball winning streak to five games with a come-from-behind 7-4 victory against Liberty-Benton in Blanchard Valley Conference play Monday.

CAREY — Buckeye Central topped Carey, 8-2, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Monday. The Bucks (7-4, 1-4 N10) scored in a run in both the first and third innings before opening up for five runs in the top of the fourth.

CAREY — The Blue Devils softball team lost to Buckeye Central, 3-2, on Monday. Carey starter Dani Berardinelli-Clark (3-5) allowed just two hits in seven innings but walked seven batters.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale beat Liberty-Benton, 13-3, in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game Monday. The Falcons (4-4, 2-1 BVC) scored a run in the second inning before a five-run third and a six-run fourth.

ATTICA — Known more for its pitching and defense, Seneca East slugged its way past Mohawk, 12-7, to regain a share of first place in the Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball standings Monday. The Tigers’ win, combined with Upper Sandusky’s loss, puts both teams, along with Wynford, at two losses in the N10.
