Buckeye Central defeats Carey baseball again

NEW WASHINGTON — Buckeye Central topped Carey for the second time in three days with a 12-2 win in five innings Wednesday. The Bucks (8-5, 2-5 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) scored two runs in both the first and second innings before hanging six runs in the fourth.

Swavel homers again in Upper’s 20-0 victory

Sydney Swavel and Upper Sandusky stayed hot with a 20-0 Rams victory in five innings against Buckeye Central on Tuesday. Swavel homered for the second game in a row, though it was much less dramatic than her 10th-inning blast Monday that helped the Rams top Bucyrus.

Rams tennis blanks Tigers

Upper Sandusky won all of its matches in straight sets, defeating Galion, 5-0, on Tuesday. “This was the best we have played as a group so far,” Upper Sandusky coach Aaron Frazee said.

RAWSON — Riverdale baseball won its sixth straight game by rallying in the seventh inning and then winning in the eighth, 21-16, against Cory-Rawson on Tuesday.
