Upper Sandusky’s junior varsity softball team dominated Buckeye Central, 28-3, on Tuesday. Alivia Oney was 6 for 6 with three triples and three doubles.

SYCAMORE — From the leadoff spot, Austin Harper led Mohawk’s offense in a 7-6 win over Seneca East on Wednesday. Harper walked to begin the game and came around to score.

BUCYRUS — Wynford pounded 16 hits, including five doubles, in a 13-3 victory against Crestline in five innings in a non-conference baseball game Wednesday.

Upper Sandusky scored three times in the third inning and twice in the sixth inning to take a 5-3 victory against Bucyrus in Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball action Wednesday. The Redmen (2-6, 1-5 N10) scored an Alexis Dye home run in the second inning for an early lead and twice in the seventh inning in a rally that came up short.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale baseball rallied from a 7-0 deficit in the first inning and won its seventh straight game, 9-8, against McComb on Wednesday. The Panthers (6-3, 5-2 Blanchard Valley Conference) scored seven runs in the first inning and led by seven, 8-1, after four innings, but the Falcons came back with two runs each in the fifth and sixth innings and then four in the seventh.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale was a 9-1 winner over McComb in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game Wednesday. Taylor Farmer (6-4) had a no-hitter broken up on a seventh-inning double, and the runner came around to score an unearned run.

Bucyrus continued to be Upper Sandusky’s Achilles’ heal, sweeping Upper Sandusky for the second straight year with an 11-6 victory Wednesday. The Rams (9-7, 7-3 Northern 10 Athletic Conference) fell out of first place with a pair of losses to the Redmen (3-8, 2-4 N10) this week, and their two losses to Bucyrus last year ultimately kept them from sharing the N10 championship.

Shelby swept singles competition to take a 3-2 boys tennis victory against Upper Sandusky on Wednesday. The Rams (3-5) got doubles wins from Turner Dilley and Nate Hensel, 6-4, 6-3, over Al Perez and Danny Murray at No. 1, and from Tommy Martin and Chad Mostoller, 6-2, 6-2, over Noah Kennard and Josh Yee at No. 2.

SYCAMORE — Hannah Kieffer drove in all three runs for Mohawk in a 3-1 victory over Seneca East on Wednesday. The reigning Northern 10 Athletic Conference player of the year had an RBI double to score Hannah Jordan in the first inning and had a two-run homer in the sixth.

NEW WASHINGTON — Dani Berardinelli-Clark pitched a one-hitter, and Carey scored twice in the seventh inning to win 3-1 at Buckeye Central on Wednesday. Berardinelli-Clark (5-5) walked one and struck out six in seven innings.
