Four members of Wyandot County Special Olympics participated in the Ohio State special skills football camp last week at the Woody Hayes Center.

MARION — Mohawk’s Billy Dunlap finished second in the 16-18 division Monday in the Heart of Ohio Junior Golf Association tournament at Marion Country Club. Dunlap shot an 87 to finish five strokes behind winner Zack Hosack, of Mount Gilead, and one stroke ahead of Pleasant’s Griffin McCloy.

Warrior Nation Fight Series took place Saturday at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds.

Winners of the Tree Town Festival 3-on-3 in Forest were announced.

FINDLAY — Wharton resident Kory Kotterman turned in a solid second-round 74 but it was not enough to make up for his first-round 82, and he missed the cut for the third round by eight strokes Thursday in the Ohio Amateur golf tournament at Findlay Country Club.

As popular as ever — evidenced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s recent $4 billion sale — cage match fighting is returning to Upper Sandusky on Saturday. Warrior Nation Fight Series 39, presented by Ten Toes Up Fight Entertainment LLC, has more than a dozen fights scheduled for competition at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Wyandot County Fairgrounds Arena.

FINDLAY — Wharton resident Kory Kotterman, a 2005 Riverdale High School graduate, was unable to get it going after a tough start to his first round Wednesday in the Ohio Amateur golf tournament at Findlay Country Club. Kotterman scored bogeys on each of his first five holes, including a double bogey on No. 11 after starting on the back nine, and finished with a 12-over-par 82.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk High School will be hosting its fall sports parent meeting at 7 p.m. Aug. 4 in the Performing Arts Center. The general meeting will be followed by individual sport meetings.

VANLUE — The Vanlue men’s softball league is hosting a round robin men’s tournament starting at midnight Friday until about Sunday afternoon. The entry fee is $200.
