Senior citizens night allows free admission

Sept. 27 is Senior Citizen Night as Upper Sandusky High School hosts Ridgedale in junior varsity and varsity volleyball action. All senior citizens will receive free admission to both matches and a coupon for a free drink and popcorn from the concession stand.

McComb powers past Upper

State power McComb scored the first eight points of the match and rolled to a 25-7, 25-14, 25-6 victory against Upper Sandusky in a season-opening volleyball match Saturday.

Rams open with 8-0 win over Fliers

A thunder delay did not slow down Upper Sandusky in its season-opening 8-0 girls soccer victory against Clyde on Saturday evening. The Rams led 2-0 when the match was delayed with 14:02 remaining in the first half.

Margarum rallies Clyde past Upper

Cam Margarum scored five goals in the final 21 minutes to rally Clyde from a four-goal deficit in a 6-5 victory against Upper Sandusky in a season-opening boys soccer match Saturday night. Cameron Brady’s second goal gave the Rams (0-1) a 4-0 lead with 30:12 remaining, but Margarum took over down the stretch.

Blue Devils get 2 easy wins in new gym

CAREY — Carey had little trouble on its way to two victories in a season-opening tri-match Saturday. In the first varsity athletic contest held in the new Carey school gymnasium, the Blue Devils topped North Baltimore, 25-12, 25-14, and Fostoria St. Wendelin, 25-14, 25-12.
