6-run innings lead Upper past Ridgedale

Upper Sandusky used a pair of six-run innings to take a 13-2 victory in five innings against Ridgedale in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Monday. The Rams (6-4, 2-1 N10) scored six times in the first inning and six times in the fourth.

Falcons win shortened quad meet

FINDLAY — Riverdale’s girls and boys were winners in a lightning-shortened Blanchard Valley Conference quad meet Monday at Liberty-Benton. The Falcons girls won with 56.5 points, finishing just ahead of Arlington (51.5 points) and Leipsic (48).

Burger’s win gives Upper 3-2 victory

LEXINGTON — Clay Burger rallied for a three-set victory in the No. 3 singles match to give Upper Sandusky a 3-2 victory against Clear Fork in a boys tennis match at Lexington on Monday. Burger defeated Diego Carton-Portales, 2-6, 6-4, 6-4, and the Rams (5-2) rolled in both doubles matches.

Royals rally past Eagles with 4-run 5th

BUCYRUS — Wynford scored four times in the fifth inning to rally past Colonel Crawford for an 8-6 victory in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Monday. The Eagles (3-4, 1-3 N10) led 3-2 after one inning, and both teams scored once in the third.

Arcadia has 11-run 1st inning

ARCADIA — Arcadia scored 11 times in the first inning on its way to a 22-1 victory against Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference softball game Monday. The Redskins scored six more times in the second inning, once in the third and four times in the fourth.

Game stopped with Falcons up

ARCADIA — Riverdale’s baseball team scored five times in the top of the seventh inning to take an 8-3 lead on Arcadia, but the game was suspended because of lightning and will have to be completed on a date to be determined. The teams were tied at 3 after six innings.

Musgrave’s hit scores Rams’ winning run

Pinch runner Jack Smith just beat the throw home to score the winning run from second base on Sam Musgrave’s hit up the middle, giving Upper Sandusky a 10-9 come-from-behind win against Hopewell-Loudon and a split of a doubleheader Saturday. The Chieftains won the first game, 10-6.

Mohawk caps 5-0 week with sweep

SYCAMORE — Mohawk finished the week 5-0 with a sweep of South Central, 13-0 and 3-1, on Saturday. The Warriors (6-1) took advantage of a wild pitcher to start the opener. Five walks and a hit batter started the game in a seven-run first inning.
