MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s girls topped Arlington, 87-49, and the Falcons boys were 82-55 winners in a track and field dual meet Monday. Audrey Leopold won the 1600 run in 6:44 and the 3200 run in 14:34, and Libby Burd took first in the 100 hurdles in 18.6 and the 300 hurdles in 1:00.4 to lead Riverdale’s girls.

BUCYRUS — Both doubles teams earned championships, and Upper Sandusky won the eight-team Jim Grandy Invitational on Saturday at Bucyrus. The Rams’ No. 1 doubles team of Turner Dilley and Noah Frey and the No. 2 doubles team of Chad Mostoller and Alex Brodman were champions, while No. 2 singles player Alex Engle took second and No. 3 singles player Clay Burger finished third.

Facing stiff competition, Upper Sandusky and even short-handed Mohawk rose to the occasion Saturday in the Swankhouse Invitational at Upper Sandusky. The Rams boys were third and girls came in fourth.

BUCYRUS — Wynford dominated a doubleheader against Mansfield Christian with a pair of 12-1 victories to get to .500 on the season Saturday. The Royals (6-6) scored twice in the first inning and then six times in the second to blow open a big lead in the opener.

DOLA — Riverdale’s boys captured the championship at the Hardin Northern Invitational on Saturday. The Falcons boys scored 113 points, with runner-up Cory-Rawson scoring 102.

TIFFIN — Riverdale scored seven times in the third inning and held on for its first win of the year, 12-8, in the second game of a softball doubleheader Saturday at Tiffin Calvert. The Falcons (1-11) dropped the opener, 7-6, in eight innings.

MARION — Wynford and Pleasant split a baseball doubleheader Saturday, with the Spartans winning the opener, 7-1, and the Royals taking the second game, 7-2. Wynford (6-8) tied the first game at 1 in the top of the fifth inning, but Pleasant scored three runs each in the bottom of the fifth and sixth innings.

WAYNESFIELD — Carey’s girls swept the relays and ran away with first place in the Tiger Invitational on Friday night at Waynesfield-Goshen. The Blue Devils scored 105 points, with second-place Benjamin Logan way behind with 71 points.

NEW WASHINGTON — Dani Berardinelli-Clark threw a one-hitter in the pitching circle while driving in seven runs at the plate as Carey blew out Buckeye Central, 18-1, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball game Friday in New Washington.
