MOUNT BLANCHARD — Riverdale’s girls defeated Pandora-Gilboa in a quad cross country meet Thursday. Runners from Van Buren and Cory-Rawson also competed.

TIFFIN — Mohawk defeated a shorthanded Bucyrus team in a girls golf match Thursday at Seneca Hills Golf Course in Tiffin. The Warriors scored a 245 while Bucyrus only had three golfers in competition.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — Amanda Green had 17 kills, 15 digs and three aces to lead Cory-Rawson to a 30-28, 25-21, 22-25, 25-17 victory against Riverdale in a Blanchard Valley Conference volleyball match Wednesday. The Falcons (0-6, 0-2 BVC) erased a 23-19 deficit in the first set and had chances to go up 1-0.

ADA — Gabi Rodriguez scored three goals and added two assists as Riverdale rolled to an 11-0 victory against Ada in a girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association match.

The Upper Thunder recently compete in the 10U National Tournament in Bloomington, Indiana. The Thunder competed against teams from Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois.

The Modern Woodmen donated $500 for the Upper Thunder to attend the 10U National Tournament in Bloomington, Indiana. Comfort Inn also donated $300 and provided reduced rates for the event.

FOSTORIA — Trey Bame medaled by shooting a 36 to lead Carey to three more wins Wednesday at Lakeland Golf Course. The Blue Devils (11-0) scored a 166 to top Lakota (174), Gibsonburg (176) and host Arcadia (231).

SHELBY — Plymouth topped Mohawk, 217-236, in a girls golf match Wednesday at Woody Ridge Golf Course. Madison Wagner led the Warriors with a 56, followed by Alayna Kindle with a 58.

The Little Rams and Upper Sandusky Middle School competition teams finished their summer seasons with first-place finishes in the Carey Cheer Competition.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Riverdale Cross Country Invitational is 4 p.m. Sept. 14 at Riverdale. The schedule of races includes elementary girls at 4 p.m., elementary boys at 4:20 p.m., junior high girls at 5 p.m., junior high boys at 5:25 p.m., high school girls at 5:45 p.m., and high school boys at 6:15 p.m.
