SYCAMORE — Mohawk High School has established new guidelines for passes and parking at home football games this season. Those entering with a pass will be required to show a 2017-18 season pass issued to the user.

The Upper Sandusky High School athletic department announced Oct. 3 is “Senior Citizen Night” as Upper Sandusky takes on Seneca East in junior varsity and varsity volleyball. All senior citizens will receive free admission to both matches and a coupon for a free drink and popcorn from the concession stand.

GALION — Wynford’s Abby Underwood shot a 109 to lead area competitors Tuesday in the Division II sectional golf tournament at Valley View Golf Course. The Royals finished 14th with a 459. Shelby topped Edison, 320-339, for first place, and Perkins took the final district qualifying spot with a third-place finish with a 351.

SYCAMORE — Carey had leads of at least four points in every set, but the Blue Devils let their advantage slip away three times and with it their chance of a Northern 10 Athletic Conference championship. The Warriors thrived playing from behind and came away with a 25-23, 17-25, 25-21, 25-23 victory that increases Buckeye Central’s lead in the N10 to two games.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — It took all five sets and a rally from down 2-1, but in the end, the Upper Scioto Valley volleyball team came away with the non-conference win over Riverdale, 25-22, 13-25, 18-25, 25-16, 15-11. USV jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the final set, with Daniels getting a pair of aces and also two kills.

FOSTORIA — Madison Wagner shot a 119 to lead Mohawk in Division II sectional girls golf action Tuesday at Fostoria Country Club. The Warriors scored a 509 as a team to finish 12th.

MORRAL — Kenedi Hayden had 10 kills on 22-of-25 hitting to lead Upper Sandusky to a 25-21, 25-17, 25-15 victory against Ridgedale in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night. Lillie Orians was 29 of 34 hitting with nine kills.

NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford swept Wynford, 25-22, 25-21, 25-16, in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference volleyball match Tuesday night. Jenna Coffman went 17 of 17 serving with an ace and added 16 assists for the Royals (6-11, 4-7 N10).

FORT JENNINGS — Taylor Bacon scored a late first-half goal, and it stood for Riverdale to pick up its second win of the season, 1-0, over Fort Jennings on Tuesday. Bacon’s goal was assisted by Tyler Hart and came with 8:16 left in the first half.

Mohawk’s eighth-grade football team defeated Upper Sandusky, 36-0, on Tuesday. The Warriors’ Collin Barth had four touchdown runs and scored a pair of two-point conversions.
