SYCAMORE — The Mohawk Community Library is recognizing National Library Card Sign-Up Month by giving away a tote bag full of goodies to any new patron who signs up for a card in the month of September.

Blood drive set in Carey

TOLEDO — The American Red Cross will host a blood drive from 12-6 p.m. Sept. 14 at Parkview Assembly of God, 777 W. Findlay St., Carey. September is National Preparedness Month and the Red Cross asks eligible donors to give blood to help ensure a stable and diverse blood supply is available during emergencies of all types.

Needs to give lecture on history of county’s fair

The final lecture in a series sponsored by the Wyandot County Archaeological and Historical Society is scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday at the Wyandot County Museum. Tom Needs will present a program on the history of the Wyandot County Fair, and light refreshments will be served. The museum is located at 130 S. Sandusky Ave.
