SYCAMORE — Mohawk Local School District will conduct kindergarten screenings May 4-5 at the district’s MCI Building. Children who will be 5 years old on or before Aug. 1, 2017 are required by law to register and to be screened.

BUCYRUS — Wynford Local Schools has announced its kindergarten registration and screening dates for the 2017-18 school year. Residents of Wynford Local School District with a child entering kindergarten next fall may call Wynford Elementary School at 419-562-4619, ext. 301, to register.

Cookin’ with Kids, an interactive cooking skills class for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, is from 3-4 p.m. Thursday at Upper Sandusky Community Library. Library staff will teach children basic cooking skills.

FOREST — Friends of Forest-Jackson Public Library will host a spring ladies luncheon at noon April 27 at the library, 102 W. Lima St. Kathy Miller will cater the event.

HARPSTER — Harpster United Methodist Church will host a soup and sandwich supper from 4:30-6:30 p.m. April 26. There will be soup, sandwiches, salads and desserts.

A quilt made of T-shirts worn by members of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard while in service will be raffled off at the St. Peter School festival June 10.

FOREST — Forest Christian Preschool will celebrate 35 years of providing a Christian environment for children ages 3-5.

Charles Patrick and Rita Mary (Niederkohr) Logsdon, 216 W. Johnson St., Upper Sandusky, will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary Monday. Mrs. Logsdon is a daughter of William and Laura Niederkohr.

U.S. presidents made from 2-liter plastic pop bottles were on display at Upper Sandusky Community Library. Students in Mindy Newell’s second-grade class studied biographies of presidents and created the pop-bottle presidents as a class project.
