Residents at Fairhaven Community in Upper Sandusky created the Giving Tree program to give back to local businesses and groups in Wyandot County. Residents, staff and families helped collect Easter items for a local family for the program’s first initiative, The Good Egg Project.

United Way of Wyandot County will accept applications for program funding for the 2018 calendar year. Programs must demonstrate that they are able to measurably impact specific Wyandot County indicators in the following categories:

General surgeon Dr. Peter Schuler will provide free vein screenings from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. May 3 and 17 at VeinCare, near the north entrance at Wyandot Memorial Hospital, Upper Sandusky. The screenings will include a brief varicose vein risk factor questionnaire and consultation with Schuler, who treats varicose and spider veins with radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy injections and VeinGogh.
