TOLEDO — This summer, the American Red Cross, Cedar Fair theme parks and K100 are partnering to offer a free Cedar Fair park ticket to those who donate blood at select blood drives, including Carey, Tiffin and Findlay. Donors also can enter to win one of three grand prize packages for four to Knott’s Berry Farm in California or Cedar Point.

Sisters in Shelter will present a program about human trafficking and modern-day slavery at 6:30 p.m. June 7 at Upper Sandusky Community Library. The nonprofit, Tiffin-based organization provides emergency and transitional housing, trauma and psychological care, and lifeskills training for women who have been victims of human trafficking.

Preschoolers may sign up for the program at the library anytime during regular library hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.

CAREY — Carey Kiwanis Club will host its preventive health screenings from 7-9 a.m. June 3 at Grace United Methodist Church. Automated CBC, full lipid profile, basic metabolic panel and AST/ALT is $30. The screening checks hemoglobin, white cell count, total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, triglycerides and ratio, glucose (blood sugar), electrolytes, kidney function and liver enzymes.
