BUCYRUS — Wynford Junior High recently announced its Royal Leaders for October. Miya Kinn and Makenna Zaebst were nominated by Krista Richmond for modeling habit No. 4, “Getting Stuff Done.” They helped the teacher by passing back graded papers to peers.

WHARTON — The Wharton High School class of 1958 met for its annual get-together Nov. 4 at the home of Janet Pickett for an evening of food, fun and fellowship.

The Upper Sandusky junior high wrestling team and Dorcas Carey Public Library staff unloaded semi-trailers last Saturday as the first step in a month-long transformation of Harrison Smith Park into the 21st Upper’s Winter Fantasy of Lights.

Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church will host a special series of revival services at 108 Malabar Drive, Upper Sandusky, with Encounter Revival Ministries at 8:30, 10 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Nov. 13-17. Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the Encounter Revival Ministries team is comprised of 19 college-age people who travel extensively for weeklong meetings in churches and schools.

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The Mount Blanchard Gun Club, TR 186, is hosting a turkey shoot on Nov. 19. Traps open at noon and the event is open to the public.

The Wyandot Memorial Hospital Guild meeting was called to order by President Judy Swartz reading a poem, “Fall.” Twenty-two members were in attendance.

St. Paul Lutheran Church, 120 N. Eighth St., Upper Sandusky, is hosting a quilt auction and fabric sale Nov. 9-11 to benefit victims of hurricanes Harvey and Irma. A collection of works and fabric donated by Ellen Pool of Upper Sandusky, an expert seamstress and avid quilter, will be available.

TIFFIN — Mercy Health Tiffin and Willard hospitals and Community Action for Reducing Substance Abuse are sponsoring “Opioid Addiction: Strategize — Don’t Stigmatize” on Thursday in the McMullen Conference Rooms at Mercy Health Tiffin Hospital.
