Tiffin-Seneca Martin Luther King Jr. celebration

TIFFIN — “Still We Rise, Still We March” is the theme of this year’s Tiffin-Seneca Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebration at 7:15 p.m. Jan. 15. The keynote speaker, University of Toledo professor of social work Dr. Celia Williamson, is the director of the Human Trafficking and Social Justice Institute.

Wyandot Memorial accepting Paramount

Wyandot Memorial Hospital signed a contract with Paramount as a participating provider for Wyandot County residents purchasing health insurance through the individual marketplace. The contract allows county residents to receive care and treatment from the hospital and its physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and nurse midwife.

Open Door having Getting Ahead classes next month

Open Door Resource Center has begun offering Getting Ahead classes for men and women in Wyandot County who are seeking to find solutions to life’s ongoing challenges: economic, social, physical and spiritual. In a Getting Ahead workshop, a group of six to 12 people meet to help one another take steps to improve their lives.

Health Alliance surveys to be sent out in mail

In January, February and March of 2018, nearly 1,200 adults living in Wyandot County will be receiving a health survey by mail. Adults are randomly selected to receive this survey, which is mailed from Toledo and will arrive in a large colored envelope containing a survey booklet and a pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelope to return the completed survey.

Meeting minutes: January 8, 2018

The December meeting of the Wyandot County Senior Citizens Club potluck and Christmas Party was held at the Senior Center in Upper Sandusky with 21 members present and five guests: Catherine Gillen, Brian Hemminger, Jon Reel, Carolyn Reidlinger and Barb Smith.
