The Mohawk Community Library hosted Story Time on Monday and featured a stuffed animal sleepover. Children were encouraged to leave their stuffed animals at the library for a fun evening with the children’s programming director, Christina Riedel.

A series of three one-hour programs is being offered by the SNAP-Ed program assistant from the Wyandot County OSU Extension service. Tami Baumberger once again will conduct a series of Cooking with Tami sessions at the Open Door Resources Center in Upper Sandusky.

The Home Energy Assistance Program Winter Crisis Program was created to provide financial assistance, one time per heating season, to income eligible households who are threatened with disconnection of their heating source, have service already disconnected, need to establish new service, seek to transfer service, or have less than a 25 percent supply of bulk fuel.

The What’s Cookin’ cookbook discussion group at the Upper Sandusky Community Library will host a potluck and soup cook-off contest at 6 p.m. Jan. 22. The soups will be judged for taste, appearance and originality.

Adults are welcome for a craft night at the Upper Sandusky Community Library at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25. Aimee Boes will revisit some of the crafts from 2017 such as abstract wall art, do-it-yourself jewelry holders, glass etching (bring your own glass), twine and yarn covered bottles (bring your own bottles) and more.

The apprentices of Lima Electrical Professionals have donated $3,012 and approximately 200 pounds of food to the Veterans Food Pantry of Northwest Ohio. They collected food and monetary contributions in December and also conducted a 50/50 drawing to raise the funds.
